There’s a Nissa local right in the station and there’s a Sainsbury’s local across the road if you want to buy lunch on arrival.
Once you get clear of the housing estate that they’ve built right by the station you end up walking through some scrubby bush that ultimately end up going through quite extensive woods for some time. They’re pretty. The bluebells were out when I walked through there today as well.
It was only planned as a 12 K day so there’s absolutely plenty of time to take all the time in the world, which is what I intended to do.
I stopped for lunch on a wooden bench five or 10 minute walk into the golf course on the other side of the main road, A1 I think. It was quite peaceful.
The signs on this section of the path are very hidden. Definitely went wrong a few times because there was no sign at all.
